Amid the uncertainty of when major attractions will be allowed to reopen in California, Hunt Design is helping plan and design signage for longtime client, the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park in anticipation of opening day. Working with Park staff, Hunt is designing a series of temporary signs promoting social distancing, encouraging hand washing and directing visitors to reinforce the zoo’s operational changes. Planning for a phased approach to re-opening involves prioritizing those sign elements that will be needed immediately and allowing visitors to begin to enjoy exhibits and attractions that will open first. We’re pleased to be able to contribute to the effort to reopen these iconic attractions, and to help people reconnect with a sense of place.
