In 1984 Hunt Design, in one of the first urban wayfinding programs, created signage for Old Pasadena. Now, years later—and after two years of planning, design and approvals— our designs for the citywide sign program are popping up all over Pasadena. The 300-sign effort displays directions to over forty important destinations and unifies the city’s four downtown districts with similar, but color-coded elements. Included in the robust system are specific signs and maps for pedestrians and drivers.
