One of the top zoos in the Northwest features an all-new wayfinding program by Hunt Design. A new user-friendly map, revised pathway names and, of course, new directional signs combine to make this popular Portland destination more accessible and understandable to the 1.5 million annual visitors. In addition to the tall wood-based pylon signs, sheltered kiosks present digital information screens to supplement the static signage. All of the new elements of the program were designed to reflect the woodsy Northwest aesthetic of the forested site.
